Overview

FORTA uses Shopify to power products, checkout, customer accounts, order management, payments, shipping, and related commerce operations. This custom storefront does not maintain its own separate customer database. When you shop with FORTA, the information needed to process your order is collected and stored through Shopify and its connected commerce services.

This policy explains the basic information we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you place an order, create or use a customer account, contact us, or choose to receive marketing, Shopify may collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, order history, payment-related information, and checkout activity.

Payment details are handled by Shopify and its payment processors. FORTA does not store full credit card numbers on this website.

How we use information

We use customer information to process and fulfill orders, provide checkout and customer-account functionality, communicate about purchases, handle returns or support requests, prevent fraud, improve the storefront, and meet legal or tax obligations.

If you opt in to marketing, we may use your contact information to send product updates, offers, and other FORTA communications. If you do not opt in to marketing, you should only receive transactional or relationship messages related to your orders, account, checkout, support requests, or other purchases from FORTA.

Marketing choices

Marketing emails are optional. You can unsubscribe from marketing messages using the unsubscribe link in those messages or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop order confirmations, shipping notices, customer-account messages, or other transactional communications related to purchases or services you requested.

Where information is stored

Customer and order information is stored in Shopify and in commerce tools connected to Shopify for legitimate store operations, such as payment processing, shipping, tax, analytics, fraud prevention, email, and support. FORTA does not operate a separate database for this custom storefront.

Shopify maintains its own privacy and security practices for information processed through its platform.

Cookies and analytics

The storefront and Shopify checkout may use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies to keep the site working, remember cart or account state, measure site performance, support checkout, prevent fraud, and, where enabled, support marketing or analytics. Some privacy controls may be managed through Shopify or third-party tools used by the store.

Sharing information

We share information only as needed to operate the store, including with Shopify, payment processors, shipping providers, tax providers, fraud-prevention services, analytics providers, email or marketing tools, support providers, and other vendors that help us run FORTA. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, customers, or business.

We do not sell customer information from this custom storefront as a standalone database because we do not maintain one.

Your choices and requests

You may request access, correction, deletion, or other handling of your personal information by contacting us. Some requests may need to be completed through Shopify or may be limited by legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or order-record requirements.

If Shopify provides privacy controls for your region, those controls may also apply to data processed through Shopify-powered services.

Data retention

Order and customer information is kept as long as needed for store operations, customer support, tax and accounting records, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and legitimate business purposes. Marketing contact information is kept unless you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it, subject to records we may need to retain.

Children

FORTA is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our storefront, Shopify configuration, legal requirements, or business practices. The updated date above will show when the policy was last revised.
